we’re Glad you’re here!!!
wonderful news for a new year!
We are happy to report that Brad Skinner is out of the hospital and well on his way to recovery. Thank you ALL so much for your prayers and donations. You guys are the best! He has home health care coming in so he can be with his boys. He is very humbled by what everyone has done to help during this critical time. He is not a very religious person, but he told me yesterday that he is thankful to God and the people in his life.
My philosophy has always been – follow and do as Jesus would do and others will see Him in you. This is exactly what has happened with Brad.
P.S. He is looking for a used washer and dryer if anyone happens to run across a set. Call me or Ronnie and we can arrange it to be delivered to him.
We love our Simple Faith Family – you all are amazing! 😘

DO YOU WANT TO BE A MISSIONARY FOR A WEEK?
Cotton Patch Gospel: Matthew and John (Volume 1) by
The Cotton Patch Gospel, by Koinonia Farm founder Clarence Jordan, recasts the stories of Jesus and the letters of Paul and Peter into the language and culture of the mid-20th century South. Born out of the Civil Rights struggle, these now classic translations of much of the New Testament bring the far-away places of Scripture closer to home: Gainesville, Selma, Birmingham, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. As Jordan once wrote, “While there have been many excellent translations of the Scriptures into modern English, they still have left us stranded in some faraway land in the long-distant past. We need to have the good news come to us not only in our own tongue but in our own time. We want to be participants in the faith, not merely spectators.” More than a translation, The Cotton Patch Gospel continues to make clear the startling relevance of Scripture for today. These editions come complete with new Forewords and a new Introduction by Habitat for Humanity founder Millard Fuller. Smyth & Helwys Publishing is proud to help reintroduce these seminal works of Clarence Jordan to a new generation of believers.
Brad Skinner, a local self-employed contractor who has also served as a long-time community baseball coach was in a severe car accident today (December 22, 2016). He has multiple injuries, the worst of which is a fractured pelvis and hip. He is fortunate to have survived. Please include him and his family in your prayers.
Craig Seelman and Judy Hamilton are heading back to Mayo Clinic. The transplant doctor called after looking at the reports and they feel Craig needs the IV’s to steady the rejection. They will be there for three days. They want to be sure because of his sudden increase of numbers. Continued prayers would be most appreciated.
