It’s two-timing time!!!
No, not what you think! A Simple Faith moves to two morning services on Sunday, January 7, 2018 to accommodate the “Snow Bird Season.” We are glad you are all here – but wish the weather was warmer.January – March Schedule is 8:30 am and 10:00 am
There will be a Bible Survey study beginning January 10th, and on every Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM, thereafter for eight weeks. Led by Ronnie, it will help Bible readers gain a better understanding of the “story of the Bible” and provide background for individual books. Meeting at A Simple Faith, all are welcome.
As the year draws to a close, I’m thinking about what needs to be done starting January 2. And you can help.
If you have moved but are still using checks with your old address for your contributions, please email me your current address – firstname.lastname@example.org
I’ll be creating your yearly contribution receipts around the middle of January. They will be available in the church foyer for a couple of weeks, then those not picked up will be mailed at the end of January. if you need it sooner, just email me with that, too.
Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Learning Through Loss
SESSION 4 – WINTER 2018
After all the attempts to comfort ourselves and to make sense of our loss, we are still left with a huge hole in the fabric of our lives; “I miss you, I miss you, I miss you.”
And then what?
In this session of Learning Through Loss we will dig into the scriptures to learn what God has planned for us and how we can move forward with His divine plan for us.
This session will be lead by Robin Tharpe. Our goal is to help you on your healing journey and deeper walk with Christ.
Meetings are held at Santa Rosa Beach Community Church in the chapel at 11:00A.M.
We encourage you to come and learn, forge new friendships with others who are also working through their loss, through these informative classes and occasional after-meeting lunches and outings.
We look forward to meeting you as we journey together in
Learning Through Loss.

Charlie’s Favorite Christmas by Bryan Kennedy
Even with Christmas past, everyone should read this sweet little book by our own Bryan Kennedy!
Every child has his favorite memory of his favorite Christmas. And these memories of this sacred holiday only become sweeter with time and a little understanding. Charlie, eleven years old, had planned for months on how to get exactly what he wanted that year for Christmas by only asking for one thing, so he’d be sure he’d find it under the tree. But instead, he got an even bigger surprise. What seemed like his worst Christmas ever would turn into a gift of a lifetime. Truly, a Christmas he would always remember, and a story you will never forget.
