September

Beginning with the October newsletter, our Associate Pastor Garet McHugh will be at the helm.  He’ll be taking over most of the ASF mailings, Prayer Requests, and will be doing the newsletter as well.

To make the TRANSITION a bit easier, we ask that you contact Garet if you have news, prayers, questions, requests for the ASF Contact List or anything else having to do with ASF.  His email address is:  gomchugh@lincolnchristian.edu

We would greatly appreciate it if anyone has a few minutes after church to help Billy and me clean up!  We get to church at 8am and frequently don’t get to leave until 11:45 or so!  The trash cans and coffee pots have to be emptied, and food put away. Everyone is rushing out, talking about lunch plans, and lately no one offers help anymore!

Thanks and blessings!Nancy and Billy McConnell

SHOEBOX REMINDER!

I encourage ASF members to begin shopping for filling their Operation Day Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes.   NO GLUE!! Gearing up for OCC and the prayers and God’s Love. Boxes are on order! Love to all who pack a box – Nancy Gross 850-797-6926.

READERS’ CORNER:

100 Days of Thanks by Thomas Nelson

Focus on the things that bring you joy with “100 Days of Thanks.”  Short inspirational readings, space to record your thoughts, and brief Scripture references in a high-designed four-color gift book will help you find a peaceful, happier life.

The rush of a busy schedule, a barrage of disheartening news stories, and the wear and tear of everyday life can be enough to drag anyone down. Simply pausing to recognize and express thanks for the good gifts that surround you has proven to make a major difference in happiness, peace, and contentment.

“100 Days of Thanks”, a beautifully designed inspirational book of short readings, Scripture verses, and journaling space is the perfect tool to promote Christian mindfulness and gratitude. Whether you are looking for a thoughtful gift to encourage a loved one or a simple tool to create a habit of thankfulness, this lovely little book is a wonderful place to start.

Take a few moments out of your day to be grateful and feel your burdens get a little lighter, starting today.

New Bible Study will be starting soon! Wednesdays at 10am. Beginning class will be announced at church.
